Are the rear 70 speaker grills the same as 71/72?

no, they are different.

This was asked a while back, I still have not found a definite answer. It seems to be the basic design was a little different. One being more of an oval shaped, and the other style being more of a square shape. Not sure what for what year.

70 was square, and 71/71 were more rounded

i have a pair of rear speaker grills in a 71 chevelle that i just bought for the posi rear and disc brakes and these grills are square with a post at each corner for atatching them to the rear package shelf. this car also has the dual speaker grill but i'm not sure if any of this is original. the stereo is missing as are the rear speakers.
