Hi, can anybody help me....when you roll down the window it justs drops and goes foward...What do I change to make it operable...And when the window is up you can grab the inside and the outside glass with your hands and move it any direction freely....Can anybody help? Thanks......

You'll need to pull the rear seat and then the rear panel to gain access to the window regulator. Put the window crank back on and try to roll the window up and down while looking for the problem. Any broken or missing parts should be right below trapped in the quarter panel.

Similar to 67shovel's explanation, you most likely have a broken plastic guide roller. There are 3 to secure the glass in the guide and one for the regulator channel. All are mounted to the glass. The glass will need to be removed to make repairs.

I almost bet your problem is this part called window guide roller. here is some pictures. Yours should be almost the same if not exactly, mine is from a 69 convertible.

This is a pictures showing the broken nylon roller in the center.

The roller was held in by a special rivet so I had to have one made at a friends machine shop.

Here is a pictures of the drilled out rivet on the right and the new made rivet on the left side
