I need a hood for my 71...

I know where there's a 70 parts car.

both quarters are bad, no motor, no tranny, bad interior...

hood, trunk, doors, frame, are decent...

I think I could get it for $500...

Think I could get $300ish after I snatch the hood?

I wouldn't mind getting $500, but I'm not greedy...:noway: :beers:

Does it have a C.I. hood? If so, even a bare original GM C.I. hood (in need of paint) is $200-300 tops.

A Goodmark hood will be ready for paint, for what $300? (it's been a couple years since I bought mine :noway:).

Don't forget, scrap price is $100+ per car, but if you got time and a saws-all, you can chunk the car out for those hard to get pieces, like the winshield cowl, or the lower front cowls.

The trunk lid is always good for $40-60, doors can bring $100+ if the glass is good.....I have seen bare frames in my area go for $200-300.

My wife is REALLY not keen on having a junker sitting around for any amount of time.

If I can't unload it fast enough, I'll rob the doors trunk lid rearend and the like and get the rest taken to the junk yard...I guess...

Where are you located?I need some '70 parts.Looking for a radiator support,inner and outer fenders,dash pad,etc.
Alabama...

if I get it, I'll sell the rest of the car outright.

I can't have it sitting around long.

I looked at another 70 today. from the doors forward, it was ok..the interior was GONE...but the original 307(factory a/c) and trany were still there...$900

Im looking for all the little brackets and braces and bolts and screws and what not that bolt up to the radiator support. I am trying to convert my 72 to a 70 front end. I have most of the major stuff you can buy repopped, but am looking for the little odds and ends. Let me know if this is a possibility.
Thanks
