ok guys I just picked up a 1970 Malibu, no rust in the trunk, quarter sized rust in both qtrs., rear window channel has some minor rust, floors are solid, interior, no rust, bench seat, door panels are good, and plastic is good, all bumpers are good, paint is complete, minus where the vinyl was. no dents very straight. sbc 350, runs and drives, this is a builder or an ugly classic. it lives in central Washington state, desert car. what's it worth?

I agree with the $3,500..00. You just bought it so you probably have a good idea what it is worth! What did you pay for it?

I'm thinking 5K to 9K for a good driver quality. I lived in Spokane Washington for 30 years and the middle of the state is high desert and dry. Only the west is rainy and wet 9 months, the east side is cold and harsh winters for 9 months.

I did not know that about Washington state, often heard mention of rust free Washington cars, and wondered. Thanks, never to old to learn.

I'm originally from Spokane. :beers:

There are some pretty dry cars around the Tri-Cities Yakima area. I've seen some rust buckets around Spokane....I think they used to salt the streets....not nearly as bad as back east though.
