What rear end came standard in a 70 Malibu 400 a 12 bolt or 10 bolt?

A big block car would have a 12 bolt rearend.

. There is a 70 for sale locally I might look at. The guy says its a Malibu 400 but it has a 10 bolt.

I mentioned to him about the 12 bolt rear end and that it should have had power brakes. He wasn't sold on that.
Better bring a flashlight so we can check numbers on the rear end and the turbo 400.

Went and looked at it. Wasn't what the guy thought it was. It was originally either a 307 or 350 2 bbl with powerglide. Pretty rusty.
