I too have a 70 Black SS 396 with black interior according to the codes on the cowl tag. I am still a few years from the interior but I am thinking I am going to finish in pearl also. I am keeping it as original as I can but I am going to divert from the tags this time because there was nothing hotter in the day than a black car with white / pearl interior. If the headrests are a problem color than that's what dye is made for.
