My 70 SS headlight switch has a plastic nut that screws into it to hold it in place. My nut is partially stripped, where can I find that nut??? Thanks again

I went to shut the headlights off one time and the switch just fell into the dash. Same problem as you have. ( it was a plastic nut)
My result was, I have a lot of 70 & Chevelle stuff in my stash. I found a METAL nut ??? It is from a Chevelle. That is on my switch now.
Someone must make a metal nut. I have one.

Wow, plastic nut.... No wonder so many have issues....the original was metal with integral nylon bushing center.

Very important piece, especially for the SS dashes to provide the needed compression between the ground ring and the metal gauge pan to link the grounding system to the gauges.
