Have you checked your local auto parts superstore....i.e. Autozone, Advance Auto, Pep Boys, etc.? I had to replace my headlamp switch in the 79 Z28 a couple weeks ago, it was listed in the Year One Catalogue,....but of course it had been discontinued when I called. The local Advance Auto parts had one in stock for around $15......alot of .G.M. headlight switches are interchangeable throughout many years and models, I bet they'd have it.
I know these big chain parts stores get a lot of Flack from us car junkies, but if you can muster the patience to put up with the "just graduated high school, know everything there is to know, you damn sure aren't going to teach me nothing" teenager workin the computer, these stores will usually be able to get any part you need at better prices than you will pay at the independent parts store or from the specialty restoration suppliers.
