I have been finding conflicting information on the color of the hood latch assembly. is it suppose to be natural like the hinges or gloss black? If natural does that include the entire component including the handle to open the hood? Another item is the oil cap.

The hood latch should be Phosphate, like the hood hinges, not natural. The only part of the latch that is different color is the rubber end, that you pull on, to open hood. As far as the oil cap, I thought they were rubber as well.

Thanks for the quick response. on the oil cap, i was not clear. my oil cap has a black sticker on it. my other big block cars have a oil cap with a "S" stamped in it. Are the ones with the black sticker an after market?
