I wasn't referring to the wet sump LT4 factory lines. The Holley and LT1 (#12666386 - pan I'm using) use the dry sump style oil cooler adapter, just like the Katech and Improved racing adapter, just like I posted.
Roger that. We were referring to two different things.

So you're mounting the ECU inside the cabin? Where are you putting it? The E92 is huge!

No the ecu will be on the firewall. You need to run the throttle pedal, clutch, ignition, MIL wiring inside the car. I'm just re-using the hole I had already.

I've wired up the ecu leads going into the car. GM made it real easy to do and having a all new wiring harness from AAW helped. I have the engine harness draped over the top of the firewall while I work on placement of everything in the engine bay.

Not sure what it looks like yet but the whole radiator setup is done. It's coming with reservoir tanks. AutoRad built it custom for the Chevelle.

I'll shoot tons of pictures to share.

Amusingly, I just picked up mine from Autorad this past weekend (they are local to me) for my Chevelle, although not with an LT4 swap in mind. Unfortunately they do not have a solution for my other project....

Still curious what you end up using for the intercooler tank/reservoir. Trying to find other examples but am coming up short.

Look at that sandwich!!!!! Well we will see if mine has a solution as well. Now I want to call them and see. When I ordered it I told them I need the full boat to support all this madness.

Re: 70 Chevelle LT4 & 4L85e Swap SS Z06

My setup is done and sitting there at AutoRad. Any chance you can go see it?

By local, they are still 2 hours away, or I'd certainly see what I could do for you. I'm sure it will be really nice though! I was pretty impressed with mine!

I called Jim and I will need to get one as well.

David from automobileman.com used a remote reservoir from summit on his Camaro.

We are still progressing on this build. The AUTO RAD setup will be here this week. I was informed by the customer today that he wants to sell this car when its done. Folks this is a perfect time to jump in while I'm still building it to make it your way if you see something you want to change.

Ping me if you know someone who wants to buy the LT4 powered Chevelle. I'm working up the paperwork now to post the car for sale. I will keep you folks posted on the build still as well. As said we are waiting for the core to arrive this week and then progress on.

This is a customers car? By all the posts and pictures it appeared it was yours and you were doing the swap in your garage?
I am glad your carrying on with the build . It's been very informative so far.

I am doing this car and one more. I used to be in the business for a long time and have since moved on to other full time endeavors. Its nice to be able to work on car for folks the way I want to work on them and not worry about every little penny here and there and a tight time line to get to the next pay check. I do this because I love doing it but its hard to make it a full time paying job without giving up some of the care and love I like to give each car.

When I discover something isn't the way I want it to be or I want the a better part I can simply stop and order it and wait. I've had a great time with this car and I can't wait to do the 70 Camaro as well.

The guy that owns the Chevelle wants to move on to another project that has come his way. I told him once he drives this car he will never get rid of it...lol

Hey guys I'm excited to say the front radiator core assemble is due here tomorrow. I'll shoot all kinds of pictures and share them.

One thing that has my motor install stalled at the moment is the converter. I need to send it back for a fitment issue.

I'm at a good point where now we will see a lot go back into the car and let's focus on connectivity.

John, You continue to outdo yourself on this build. Your willingness to share your experience especially with photos, part numbers and solutions to the various problems you've encountered are what makes these forums such a valuable resource. Thanks!
