Gee, it sure sounds legit - "We purchased this vehicle from the second owner , a gentleman who purchased it himself aprox. 3 years ago from the ORIGINAL owner who bought it NEW".
After all, the second guy bought it himself and the original owner bought it NEW. Is there any other way these 2 guys could have bought it?

You can't prove anything. This moron is good,I just tried to buy it(just to be an idiot),you can't even use the "buy it now"option without paying $500 first. This is one of the best I have seen....He is definitely stole someones E-bay and routing the funds elsewhere(probably Nigeria....)I was hoping to at least screw up the auction, plus deep down I was hoping it wasn't a scam....oh well

"we're a small Connecticut dealer" and the seller location is 16 miles from me in OR? Scam. When you guys post these thing on here you should also be reporting them to Ebay. It doesn't take much more than a small bit of common sense to realize they are a scam. It is the only way they get removed. I wish the free email guys had a report feature and would suspend those accounts too. That might also help slow them down.

The only thing that makes me angry is when they hit buy it now button and they want you to do all this weird stuff and the car is going to go to the boonies somewhere and they are going to do this and that and then they ask for all your info . its just stupid. do they seriously not have anything better to do then end peoples auctions early and then screw them?

Is there a way to report a scam to eBay?

I tried but it wasn't a choice on the "report this item" page.

Under the choice of "fraudulent listings" the only choice was "You received an item that may be fake."
It is right at the bottom of the auction Dean: Report item>>fraudulent listings>>You suspect a fraudulent listing but did not bid>>continue>>email us Next page you will see will be to login and then a dialog box shows up so you can tell them why you want to report the item.

Ah ha, got it, thanks.
I don't know why I didn't get those choices before I must have skipped over them

Wow, that auction is pulled already, it must have been fake.

This one looks legit. Yes, this was a shameless plug for my own auction. (sorry)

I received an email back from the listed email address, What a load of Bull:

Hi,

My name is Stan Parker, I'm an US citizen but currently I work at the office of my company from Canada. This has no negative effect on you because shipment is included in the buy it now price and will cost you nothing more.

As you can see from the pictures, the car is flawless. I must tell you that I`m selling this car not because I want to but because I have to. When I moved in Canada a month ago, I didn't knew about the taxes to register an US model car. They are extremely high. So I decided to sell it.

So I have for sale a remarkable car. It's as new and very well maintained. The car has a clear title, no liens.

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible ........... $5,900 US

Shipping will be done with DAS insured and will take 5 days to reach your address. I will pay all shipping and delivery costs (they are included in the buy it now price).

Because of the large amount involved in this deal I will accept that the founds to be managed through the ebay system and deposited until after you will receive it at home. Ebay will hold the deposit of $2,950 until they have the confirmation that you accept the car. I hope that you are OK to make the deal by eBay since this way is the only way that I can move forward.

Please send me your eBay user ID, so I let eBay know that you are interested.

I hope that all this info were enough to start your interest in buying my car and I look for your email with any questions that you might have.

Yours, Stan
