Is it true that the SS 396's in 1969 had plastic inner front finders and a plastic fire wall?

69s both ss and malabu had both metal and plastic wheel wells and i have seen original cars that had 1 of each as well.
Plasti firewalls, Never seen that??????

Both my 69 and my 71 have plastic inner fenders...Have seen original metal ones too. My firewalls are metal.

The above replys are correct. It depended on what was available at the time of assembly. One note, no plastic firewalls. Safety regs would not allow that. Steve

My 69 has steel inner fenders. I've also seen plastic.
