Im looking at a couple steering wheels that are for sale locally and im trying to figure out what to pay, and how to determine if they're original GM. One is a brighter woodgrain and the other is really dark. I will post pics tomorrow. Is there anything on the wheel thats a definite give a way to determine if theyre GM?

Rosewood wheels are Rosewood colored, the brown ones are called "wood wheels" I think. (or maybe "wood grain wheels"

the brown wheel is a walnut wheel used in '68 and early '69. The repop rosewoods have a lot more grain or color variance than the originals. I've heard they've gotten better but haven't seen the latest repops.

Ive seen a few repops installed in 69's that were actually very nice quality wheels. Nice enough to convince me not to spend a premium for one on my 69 when that time comes.
