I have my Chevelle home from body and paint, now its time to put it all back together. I have a few things that don't fit very well but the biggest problem is the seals that go between the end of the quarters and the tail light housings. They seem to be cut to short because they don't reach the outside edge where they need to seal. I have tried a pair from Soft Seal and a pair from Millenium Industries and neither of them work. Anyone else had this problem ? What did you do ? I am going to try Metro and Steel to see if theirs fit properly.
Thanks , Gene Gregory

Didn't use them and the seam was great! Mind you it is a 68 and they were never removed.... car was stock when I took the housings off and there were none.
I just put sealant around the studs when I replaced them...and again in the trunk where the nuts go on the studs.

I am not sure if they were used in 69 or not....

Casey my 68 did have them and I installed new ones after paint but you have one of those Canadian cars that are not built like good old USA cars. :p They are mostly just a seal to keep water out where the studs enter so if they accomplish that you are good to go. OP they do not need to seal anything below the studs, paintable body sealer is used to seal the quarter to the rear panel where they meet together.
