when I went from a glide to a 350 in the coupe, I had to use the 350 linkage. any of the column shift gm cars are the same, late 60's/70's ( I think). the column is the same but the linkage from lever outside of column (under hood) to trans and trans arm is different from glide to TH350. I picked up the correct linkage at a swap meet for 15 bucks.IMO there is no point in changing the indicator on the column. you will not be able to manually shift into first with the th350 but just put in in drive and let it shift itself. if you are racing it,and want to manually go through the gears, you probably wouldnt want to keep a column shifter anyway.
