Discussion Starter #1
I got a new "starter" harness for my '69 convertible. The old harness was hacked to death in a previous life but there was a 14ga Orange wire (had been cut off at the firewall). The new harness has the wire (long enough to reach the starter) with a flat spade terminal on it. The diagrams I have show it to be the blower motor on a non-AC car. Mine is AC and all wiring for the blower is in another loom. Do I just fold the Orange wire back and hide it?

From what I can find they did not make an A/C and a non-A/C engine harness for the 69 so you finding the cut off wire makes sense. I can't answer what the factory did with the extra wire. Covering the clip with some shink tubing and hiding the wire back somewhere doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Dave,

That is the blower motor wire.
I need that.
Just follow it back to the fuse box connector and squeeze the prong and pull out the wire. Unwrap your harness and take out the orange wire. Re-wrap your harness and send the orange wire to me.

ok?

I didn't think so.
