Hey guys, I am fairly new to this site, enjoy it alot. I would like opinions on this trim tag and engine stamp. Do they look original? What is the 030 stamping for? I did not get pic of VIN (yeah I know, it was stupid, got in a hurry) but I am pretty sure it was in the 3xxxxx range from Atlanta. Thanks again for any info.

I agree with leoP, the 030 is the over bore on the block stamped by a machine shop that probably rebuilt the motor in it's past life. The trim tag looks ok but that square area to the left in the pic is interesting, almost like it was patched. The VIN should be in the 343XXX to 344XXX range based on where 04D falls in my list. I'd like to get the full vin and the data from the trim tag, the pic doesn't clearly show the letters and numbers. You won't get much from the Atlanta tag, they are one of the few that required the least amount of data on the tag. Hope that helps. Take care Andy

Thanks for the info guys. I did not get a picture of the VIN but I am sure it was in the 34xxxx range. Just from the pics and info I have, is it a pretty good bet that this is the original engine, with trim tag date of 04D and engine stamp of T0408JK? Car is pretty solid, will need quarters and interior, paint and all the detailing. Asking price is $11,000, does this sound about right, especially for matching number engine? Thanks again for any help.
