Hey guys I just purchased a center console and was wondering I the console is supposed to fit flush with the floors. It seems to have a little room when I tried to position it just to see how it will look next to the bucket seats? I will try and post a pic.

You need to cut the carpet out around the front mount to get the console down against the floor. The front mount, mounts to the floor not to the carpet. That will drop the front of the console down. The shifter also mounts to the floor. You must carefully cut the carpet for the shifter. Be sure to overlap the carpet over the shifter base, especially on the drivers side. Otherwise when you set the console in place you will see the floor between the console and the carpet. The consoles are not real tight to the contour of the carpet. You will also need to weld in a rear mounting bracket for the console. The carpet must be cut out around that also. Is the an automatic console. If it is a 4 speed console you will need to install the proper hump to do it right.

Thanks guys
Also can anyone send me a step by step installation guide with possible pictures. On how to install bucket seats and the console? Also I have seen two different sets of seat brackets out there. Which ones are the best to use or which do I need?
Thanks

DO NOT USE the two piece kits. You want the 4 piece kit. Otherwise your seat belts will rub on the lower bucket seat skirts. It is too much too explain. Do a search in the interior forum. All of your info is there. Somewhere I saw it step by step by James Hinshaw. It was very well done. Maybe someone has the link.
