Will the brackets from a 70 BB be the same as the 69 I am looking for some brackets and hoses too and do not know if a 70 is interchangeable

Yes the 69 brackets will interchange with 70.
Any long water pump (69 up) brackets should work fine.

That's right. 69 was the year that the alternator/air compressor swaped sides on the engine. As far as I know, ANY BB passenger car parts will work for you. I think, but won't swear to it, that the pickup compressors remained on the left side.

And while we are on the subject, the same would hold true for SB compressor/accessory brackets.
For example, if you have a 69 and need a particular bracket, you should be able to find it on a 73 Caprice, for example.

I'm not so sure of them being interchanegable, it's true that in 69 as in 70 the compressor is on the driver's side, but I've seen two different setup's for the front bracket that has the slot cut into it for adjustment. The early (maybe?) 69's have the adjustment slot on the bottom, the 70 and later have it on the top. They might still interchange, but there is a difference.
The bracket's are still available from GM, too. Good luck, Narti

Narti,
You are exactly correct. But as long as you stay with the same "set" of brackets, you should be OK. The rear compressor bracket on my son's 71 is different from my 70, but if all the rear brackets are used, they will interchange. A person will just have to check and compare.
