Would there be much work involved to be able to use a 12 bolt out of a 69-70 Impala in a 70 Chevell/ElCamino? I local guy has one for free if i can make it work. Thanks

not what you want or need
the ears for the upper control arms are not in the correct place for velle.
the rear is too wide for the velle.
look for the correct velle rear-axle and save trouble for another time.

With enough time and money it can be made to fit. Is it worth it? NO! You can buy a complete aftermarket 12 bolt for what you would have in the conversion.

If it's free, and it's a 12bolt posi, remove the posi unit and dispose of the rest. :thumbsup:
