68 wiper motor resistor specification

While repainting my old unit I pushed and broke (Ithink) what appears to be a resistor behing the terminals. Anyone know the value of this resistor and where I can get one? Kind of felt like like the inside was brittle and snapped although the outside wire is still intacted.
