Just got my 68 back from paint. :)

Trying to install new tail light bezels and lenses. Maybe I am missing a gasket or something. It looks like the lens is just squeezed between the bezel and the housing with a gasket behind the lens and a gasket between the bezel and the housing. BUT I can't get everything pulled up enough to prevent the lens from rattling around in there. Am I missing a gasket or something. Is there supposed to be one between the bezel and the outside face of the lens or something? Or am I just a complete idiot and missing something obvious?

Thanks!

i dont have an assembly manual for 68. however, i did this job 2 yrs ago. i dont recall a gasket between the bezel and "outside face of the lens". just the lens gasket like you mentioned and the L shaped extension housing gasket. can you post any pics? is the lens new? aftermarket? there could, very well, be an extra gasket that goes there. i only remember the two gaskets mentioned above. everything assembled nice and tight. hopefully someone with a 68 assembly manual chimes in.

Thanks. I found an old pair that I had forgotten. There is no gasket there. Not sure what's going on with my setup. I just doubled up on the lens gaskets and problem solved.

BTW, why do these reproduction parts have to be so crappy? They give you studs instead of screws with the new taillight bezels. And the threads are metric. Aaargghh!!!
