Well it's getting closer

Not bad for 6 months so far doing all the work by myself & and I do mean all the work!

Was a pain in the hinney lifting body On & Off by myself with engine hoist, but so far this poor mans frame off project is going well.

For the curious - the drivetrain consist of 454/400 with 2.73 12 bolt - factory boxed rear control arms & sway bar

Any thoughts or opinions welcome.

Also was wondering if anyone knows where I can find some window channel rubber seals for it?

I have searched high & low - Not looking like they are available?

wow - looks like you have been steadily working on your car.
are those new aftermarket fenders?
how good or bad did they fit?
engine compartment looks nice, just find a stock upper rad hose!

Yes, Fenders - Hood - Header Panel - Full Quarters - Trunk Lid & Floor Pans are all new aftermarket stuff.

Surprisingly enough, everything has lined up nicely thus far - all gaps are decent & all lines flow.

Was planning on putting the right radiator hose on later, thats the one I had on hand & wanted to FIRE IT UP!

Intake & Carb are getting swapped out once I get everything NEEDED to get it back together.

PS. For those of you with eagle eyes

The trunk lid in picture is the old one which I discovered had more rust along edges than desired, so I replaced it also.

Glenn:
In one shot you show the car in bare metal, and another shows it in primer. Would you mind sharing what products you used from the bare metal on up to get it to the point in the 2nd picture? To go one step further...the picture of the car in primer...is it ready for paint at that point or do you have to go back over it again with something else?
As you can tell, I'm trying to get myself educated a bit before I decide to dive in as you have done!
Thanks.

It's in Bare Metal Etching Primer Now (not ready for paint)

Still need to spray some Sandable Primer on it and do final body work

After that it will need Sealer Primer sprayed on it - then its ready for paint

Thanks, Glenn. Whose products did you choose to go with? (Brand)

I used D.T.M Self Etching Primer 5414 (which the car is in now)

Next step is applying some MAXX FILL 2K High Build Urethane Primer 5451

From there you can spray your color according to the can.

But my father-in-law suggested spraying a hard sealer coat afterwards for better results.

I haven't purchased that yet, so I can't say the specific part #
