Both leads to the pigtail on my alternator broke simultaneously. One appears to be green/brown and the other is yellow/black. These go into the top of the back of the alt the pins are parallel (||). Which wire goes back to the left / right when I get the new pigtail? I think the white/black OR yellow/black goes to the second connection on the regulator. The other one may be the lead for the idiot light/ So which one goes where on the alternator?

The alternator case will have the letters "R" and "F" on it. The blue wire goes to the "F" (field) terminal, the white wire to the "R" terminal. If you are looking at the back of the alternator, the "F" is on the right, the "R" on the left.
