I actually saw some color stripes on my driveshaft before I had it shortened.
My car is a Baltimore built if that makes any difference.
Here are the pictures with the measuring tape starting at the forward U-Joint.
The colors look red or orange then green and then red or orange again.

Looks like the first one could be red and the third one orange, or is that possible since I thought they only put two colors on the driveshafts?

Can anyone suggest an actual paint color (eg: rattle can number, duplicolor, rustoleum, etc..) to match the colors more accurately? For the orange, could it be the same orange as the engine?

Thanks,
Fred

Part # Q-105, Q-111, Q-112 I believe the 105 is red although the website says it's orange. Call and find out for sure.;)

Bill,
Thanks again. I actually have to call them for some engine belts issues.
Here are a couple of progress pics,
1 step forward
2 steps back

I think I would rather have another kidney stone than to start the fittings on the tranny cooler lines at the case again. So much for installing a 700R4.

Sorry for the poor pics as my regular camera is toast.
I am buying a new camera tonite.

I never answered your original question-the info I have is orange-green-orange is the correct striping for a SS 396 coupe with a TH400 trans

Looks like you're moving along pretty good! You ought to be driving it this fall. :)
