67 SS 396, was factory 4 speed. Purchased the car with Turbo 400, now converting back to M21 4 speed. I purchased clutch linkage with Z bar as kit, car has original z bar bracket with sqaure slot that holds outer ball stud welded on frame but I am about an inch short on length of bellcrank. I phoned and asked if BB z bar was longer? I am nto sure if ball stud that mounts on engine block at clutch side is shoter or longer on small or big blocks?

I put nylon ball runner on engine side all the way down to recess in z bar shaft and it seems to be proper as gives correct alignment for rod to release fork.

Any help would be appreciated if I a missing a part perhaps?
