I put a new turn signal switch in the column today but the lever looks to low on the side. Anyone have a picture of the column I could look at as a reference? I think its correct just want to make sure. thanks

Ok I figured out the switch location. Now I have a problem with the harness. I replaced the first switch because the blue and purple wires got hot and melted as if they shorted but after installing the new one, it did the same thing. At this point every wire in the car is brand new from M&H so everything is correct. Has anyone seen this before? thanks.
