Factory '67 exhaust systems had two exit locations. One behind the rear wheels & then a mid production year change that went under the bumper. They never had tailpipes exiting like the Flowmaster system does if you're looking for originality.

I had two 67,s way back one Madeira Plum The other Marina Blue both 360 horse and the tailpipes exited behind the rear wheel like the red one above.Back then they all exited there it wasn,t until the mid 70.s that the muffler shop guy,s started making them go out the back like the 69,s.Every one i ever saw back then came out the wheel well. IMHO for the 64 / 67 cars i likeke the look of the wheel well exit better. Alex

There's been documented examples of orginal '67s with factory tailpipes running to the bumper. Perhaps @jeffschevelle has some photos of them.

Good there is strength in numbers and us OLD FARTS gotta stick together so that they leave our generation cars pure and the way we like them . I am not against progress but those cars are a piece of history where the common man could afford a factory hot rod. to my knowledge back then there was nothing over $ 7,500 DOLLARS FOR THE TOP DOGS FROM THE BIG THREE.. to computerize them is a sin i have said my peace.
