having trouble getting my rear power windows to function on my 67 malibu.
the front windows are working properly, but niether the main 4-button switch, or the individual single switches are working for the rears (contacts are all clean).
they had worked flawlessly until (in an effort to preserve) i stopped bringing them down a few months back.
no mods have been made to electrical, save a new battery a while back.
any help greatly appreciated. thanks.

OK, got it to print. The master switch is the one in the driver's door. I assume there is power there but check it anyway. The power or the feed line should be an orange with black stripe. Check for 12 volts on that wire.
The master switch feed line should put 12 volts on the wires to the rear as you hit the switches. The rear up and down wires on the master switch are:
Left
Violet
Dark Green

Right
Dark Green W/ White Stripe
Violit W/ White
See if that's OK there.

Just to add to what John posted.

There is a connector (plug) that connects the front harness to a flat ribbon cable that passes under the carpet. Then connections from the ribbing cable to each side. The ribbon cable has two blacks, a black/white, two blacks and a black/white 6 total wires. Two blacks connect to the ppl and grn wires the other two blacks connect to the ppl/wh and the grn/wh wires. These 4 wires are from the master switch. Power on grn or grn/wh for up and ppl, ppl/wh for down each side. The two black/white wires connect to red/wh in the forward end and orange/bk at back each side, this is power to each side switch. From each switch are the ppl, grn and ppl/wh, grn/wh, along with wires of the same color from the master switch, to the motors .

Thanks John & Elree!

I'm still chasing the problem but your insight was very helpful. I'm gonna check out the relays and breaker plate today. All the contacts and gang plugs are clean and the wires are intact.

Looking around i found a few ares that look to have rain leaks so i have my work cut out.

again, much thanks for the ideas.
