How much fuel should the 67 El Co hold.

I always chicken out and fill up at about 13-15 gals.

Wow I'm really shortchanging that fill up.

Now I have seen in the tank.
And it's not pretty for performance.

Do any of you get pick up , slosh, or starvation issuse when under 1/2 tank ot lower?

I run a stock tank with a 3/8ths pickup. The tank is repro, the pickup and sending unit are GM NOS originals.
The EFI setup runs great with only 3/8ths line, I had been expecting to have to construct an entire 1/2" delivery starting at the pickup.
The engine surpasses 550 HP in the current daily driver tune.

With 45-60 psi of fuel pressure I get no starvation problems with as little as 1/8th tank and full throttle acceleration in 1st and 2nd gear with high G-forces.

I run the HP fuel pump below the tank level, directly underneath the mounting position for the sending unit/pickup assembly.

I had been expecting to have to sump the tank, and may still, but it seems to run fine at low fuel levels and high power in lower gears.
