Like the title says, have the meter with float installed but how do I secure it to the tank? Looked at my old tank and it looks like it has some kind of sealer... can't find anything on the site about it and nothing in my books :/

There is a ring that that locks it in place - search the parts sites for fuel tank sending unit and you will find a picture.

It should have come with a rubber o-ring to seal against the tank and new sender and also a new lock ring to secure it into place. I just put this one in my 67 last week. Unfortunately the photo doesn't show the o ring or lock ring, but they were both included

so that black gasket goes where? I have that.... just cant figure out how it goes. will check out the links you guys provided. thanks!

BLack O ring between the tank and pickup, then the lock ring holds it in place.
