Hi all,HELP MEEEEEEEEEE. I am installing the factory disc brakes on my 67 chevelle and have a weird problem.First, my spindles are from a 67 camaro which I understand are the same as 67 chevelle(am I wrong?) My caliper brackets are 3913797 L and 3913798 R . The caliper castings are
5455946 on the outside and 5456008 on the inside. The two piece rotors, as
I understand are the same for chevelle and camaro w/4 piston setup. The problem is the offset of the rotor to the caliper pistons. Please see photo
and thank you for your wisdom. norman

I installed the disk brake setup from a 67 Z28 on my 65 in about 1969, it fit perfectly using the Chevelle steering arms.

Are you sure you have the correct caliper brackets? I have never tried this but can they be installed on the wrong side of the car or reversed?

Disclaimer: I'm not a '67 guy, but they may be the same as a '68. Since you got all pissy/whiny about no one helping you, I'll give you some info, but I don't guarantee it's accuracy.

The parts catalog shows the disc brake steering knuckle (what you call the spindle) as part #3894475. Section 6.020 in the parts catalog
The caliper bracket part numbers for '67 & '68 Chevelles, Camaros, and Chevy II's are 1381720 (RH) and 1381721 (LH). These numbers superseded part numbers 3894481/82 in December, 1966.
The caliper housing numbers are 5468376 LH inner, 5468377 RH inner, and 5456076 for the outer housings.
The Camaro/Chevy II outer housing number is 5455534.
These numbers were found in section 5.001 in the 2/15/1969 catalog and in section 4.665 in the August, 1974 catalog.
SO, if the part numbers are the same as the casting numbers, you don't have the correct parts, but that's obvious by looking at the pictures.
Hope that helped, hope I'm right, hope you'll be OK now. :p

67 guy, but in no way fully conversant in 4 piston calipers. Steamy Bill's answer was probably better. But my limited understanding was calipers were not available aftermarket, extremely hard to find, and the modern 2 piece rotor would not work. Could explain your offset?

Flipping side to side is basic -- bleeder needs to be on top.
