I removed my control arms to have new bushings installed. I had to press out the bolts that hold the upper arm to the frame. After removing them, when I put the nuts back on the bolts in order not to lose them, I find its hard to turn them once the bolt is flush with the end of the nut.(after about 4-5 turns). Are these supposed to be hard to turn? Since they do not use any lock washers when they are installed, Im thinking maybe thats why? I did have the nuts out flush with the ends of the bolts before I pressed them out. Im thinking maybe pressing against the nuts has something to do with it?? Or again, are the nuts supposed to be this way? I do believe they are called locking nuts. They dont use lock washers. Thanks

If you look at the nuts when they are off, you will see that the outer end is crimped slightly into a triangle shape. Yes, they are lock nuts.
