When you say "replaced" what did you replace them with or did you just reinstall the original motor and transmission?

The wiper motor arm is what controls the amount of travel. Is the arm the same length as the original motor? Also like John said if the arm on the transmission is too long then the sweep would be offset so you wouldn't get full travel. If you need measurements let me know. I have a '67 motor and wiper transmission.

Thanks rpol78. The transmission are was supposed to be from another 67. The motor is new. I have the linkage from the old motor to the transmission and it appears to be exactly the same as the linkage that came with the transmission. Measurement would likely help.

The arm on the motor is 2" center to center and the arm on the transmission that goes from the motor to the RH wiper is 25" center to center.

Thanks for the quick response. The arm on the transmission that I have is 26.25" from the center of the hole that connects to the arm on the transmission to the pivot point on the RH wiper. Looks like I need to find another transmission

I would say you have the wrong transmission. The two 1965 and one 1966 I have are 25" center-to-center and the arm on the wiper motors are 1.75" center to center.

Just went down and measured again and it's 25". That's in a straight line (there's a slight bend to connect to the motor) between center of the motor hole to center of pivot point.

Also looked at the motor arm I measured and it's not the correct one so I'd go with David's measurment for the motor arm.
