I am installing a new gas tank vent TUBE in my 67 Chevelle. It is the one that goes thru a hole in the trunk and down to the gas tank-- factory correct one. The rubber tube on the bottom end goes onto the little vent pipe that is on the gas tank.
The other end came out of the package with a plastic cap on the end. AM I SUPPOSED TO LEAVE THAT CAP ON THE OTHER END OR REMOVE IT WHEN THE VENT TUBE GETS INSTALLED?

I think it gets removed but I just want to be sure. THANKS
