Does anyone have any pictures of how to mount the steering arms to the spindle. I replaced my stock drum and spindles with disc brakes and 2" drop spindles in 2008 and no longer needed the steering arms. I kept them for some reason and now I bought the CPP 13" C5 disc brakes with their tall spindles. I cleaned up the steering arms and bolted them to the spindle and my alignment is all jacked up. I made a toe adjustment but it looks like the outer tie rod will make contact with the rim once that gets installed. It just doesn't look right to me.

I think the arm on the spindle which connects to the tie rod is on the wrong side. I think they should be swapped left to right. I say this because those arms on my 72 Elky point inward, not outward like yours do. If I can, I'll attach a pic of my spindle.

the good Dr has it right. swap the steering arms side to side, everything will be wonderful again. I'm surprised the tie rods were long enough.

Thanks for the help. With all the manuals and internet pictures, I never got a good enough perspective to tell. I just assumed I would be correct since I could see the GM stamp and number towards the outside. I will swap them around today. Thanks again.

Not meaning to hijack the post but it seems like the most logical place to ask my question. Does anyone have the GM part numbers for the steering arms to spindle bolts and nuts that were used? Realizing there are two bolts per side but are all 4 the same or are thre two different sizes. I have two each of two different bolts so am trying to figgure out which ones go where. My AMD chassis bold kit didn't include them and I can't find them listed anywhere. Thanks to anyone who can point me in correct direction. Great post an pictures here. Thank
