I just purchased a pin strip kit from Ground Up and the striping seems to be very wide. The larger stripe is over an inch wide. I didn't think the original striping was that wide. Could someone tell me what the size of the original pin striping was on a 67 Chevelle SS? If someone has an original Chevelle with the pin striping could you post a picture of the striping?
Thank You

You've got the wrong stripes.

Sounds like you got the D96 option stripes. I couldn't find a picture, maybe someone has one they could post. The D96 stripes are wide, with the smaller stripe following the wheel openings.

Here's a link to a picture I created of a Canadian vs. American '67 Chevelle SS with optional D96 stripes. The Canadian picture is one I actually doctored from a picture I got from the Internet back in '98, source unknown.

BTW Dave (aka MileHighSS), I love that '67 of yours! In the picture it looks Nantucket Blue. I'd agree that an Emerald Turquoise SS396 is most unusual.

Thank you so very much for the information and pictures. After seeing the picture and you telling me of the other pin stripe available, I contacted Ground Up and they indicated they sent me the wrong stripe package. The new stripe kit is on its way.
Your knowledge is vailable and appreciated.

Thanks Cam,

Today was beautiful in Denver, and my kids and I just had to get out for a spin. Here she is in her weekend dressup clothes. We took this one this summer at the Midwest regionals.
