I have the standard 67 Chevelle SS steering wheel - I have a factory tilt column in the car.
My problem is that Im not sure about what parts are needed underneath the steering wheel to get the horn to
work correctly. I have all the parts but my question is this: Do I also need the small spring and little steel plunger with the plastic thing that locks it in. This is usually called a horn contact kit -- its a GM part. This spring and plunger go into the hole that is in the cancel cam. What Im not sure about is do I actually need this
kit for the 67 Chevelle standard steering wheel and horn cap OR is this needed only on the sport and wood grain steering wheels. Thanks for the help.
