Have a friend that is installing a 396 in a 67 that was previously a SB car. Changed the frame mounts to what he claims are correct BB mounts, but is having oil pan clearance problems when he tries to get the 396 to fit. It is an aftermarket oil pan (not oversized he claims) so was wondering if 67 requires something special or ????
Thanks for any feedback.

Just a standard Moroso 8 quart pan is what I used in my '67. It is tight in there, but it does clear.

One thing, I never changed the purches in my car when I put in the Rat. It was a 283 Malibu when I bought it.

Do a SEARCH on using a Spectra oil pan...;)

And BTW...small and big block frame mounts are exactly the same dimensionally.

Spectra GMP27A, about $100 at Advance Auto. It fits, looks like OEM.
