Are the block codes located in the same place for the 67&68 396 Chevelles? Where are they located?

By block codes I believe you are talking about engine codes. This series of numbers and letters are on the pad where the head and block meet on the passenger side front of engine. I also assume you are talking about a V8 engine and yes the information will be in the same place on both 67&68 Chevelle V8 engines
