I've done some searches here and haven't been able to verify the approximate location of the shoulder harness mount in teh roof of a 1967 300. Does anyone have this information or even just a photograph of a shoulder harness in a 300, that would be enough I'm sure.

It has to be in the assembly manual somewhere. I've seen the install. I can check when I'm not working, but hope someone beats me to it. If I recall it had a weird buckle/strap thingy too.

NICE SHOT!

you should be able to "FEEL" it through the headliner. there will be a rectangular embossed steel "pad" with 3 holes on it. The center hole is slightly larger than the outer two.
It will likely be a little farther towards the rear than you might normally expect it to be.

Not a 300 but on the malibu it's about 6" behind the front of the quarter or dome light brace.

Thanks for that pic RP0L78! I would expect that mounting "pad" stamping for the 300 model to be very similar to what is shown for the malibu.
if you use your fingers to press in on the headliner all you need to do is locate the three holes and you should be golden. The 2 outer ones will be threaded for 1/2" bolts if i remember correctly.
The center hole is not threaded.

5/16-18 threads. Be careful pushing on an old headliner, they can get brittle.

I went out to the garage to feel for the mounting on my 67 Deluxe and cannot -- the headliner (repop) is too tight. That said, I remember the mounting as a cage nut, different from what is show in the picture of the Malibu in this post.

I did a quick measurement. From the center of the brace that holds the dome light to the first threaded hole is 8" and to the second threaded hole is 10". They don't have a cage nut in that the threaded area doesn't move but the threaded area is a separate piece welded in from the back.

Hopefully this helps.
