Does anyone make a correct reproduction floor mat for the 66 chevelle SS? I see the year one sells one JM486BLK. But they list this as an excellent reproduction for Impala, Chevelle, & Nova, with no cutting or trimming. I have heard that this is the correct size for the Impala; but not for the chevelle. Anyone know if that is true? Anyone know how close this is to a NOS mat? Or what the differences are? Thanks.

Back then I am not sure there is such thing as a factory floormat. I think most floor mats were dealer provided and would therefor vary from dealer to dealer and region.

I have some photos of what I think is the 66 chevelle mat that I will try to add. I think the 64 mat is different than the 65 & 66 mat which are different then the 67 & up mat. I have a part # for the 66 pass side front mat on a photo that I will try to add. If they had a gm part # for 66 mats wouldn't all the dealers have these available plus other aftermarket mats. Looking for the gm mats. These mats are also shown in the 66 gm accessory booklet. I am wondering if this same mat was used for the Impala, chevelle, & Nova.

I have the mats that Im sure came in this 66,they have like a shield embeded in them shaped like a police badge,no part no.,must be dealer added?

Pretty sure all 66 GM mats had the part # on the back with the little tits as shown in the attachment. Now I am hearing that the Impala, chevelle, and chevy II used the same 4 piece mat. Can anyone confirm that? Thanks.

Seb the style that Hindshaws carried were for the 67 & up. When you say repops discontinued do you mean the manufactor by the name of RePops or reproduction mats? If reproduction mats, which ones are discontinued? Thanks.

The YearOne catalog shows "correct" '66 floormats for around $300-$400.(not sure of exact price;don't have catalog with me right now.)
