I'm pulling my hair out trying to get the cardboard glovebox back in after installing my dash. I cannot push it in through the front and also cannot seem to wiggle it up from the backside. When I removed it the AC ducting wasn't there but I replaced all that now. Yes I do have the version designed for an AC car. Any ideas? At least tell me which direction it should go in from. The door is removed. Thanks

Unbend and remove enough staples to allow the liner to partially collapse. Put it in place. Unfold liner and reinstall same staples. Bend staple legs over by hand.

I got it, thank you blm. I also found it easier if I allowed the pass side AC vent to hang out of the dash while I wrangled it into place. The repro cardoard box I bought had to be trimmed back a little around the duct because there was excess material outside the staples. Ughh, that was difficult to do with a sinus headache today.
