ok, from the search i did on these forums, i came to the conclusion that on my 66 (bench seat, hardtop car) that the rear seat emblems are somewhere like 12.5" from the top edge...where it meets the seat shelf. what about the fronts? and do these emblems poke through the middle of the seat where the stitch is located? the seats are down at the upholstery shop where they are getting stripped down and im taking them back to sandblast...save some cash...so im kinda frustrated didnt do my homework!

The center of the emblem is 8.75" from the top seam. They are located in the center of the seat - right on top of a seam.

Yes, Mike is absolutely correct. The seat emblems are slightly higher than the center of the seat. If you measure from the bottom the center of the emblem would be about 12 3/4" from the bottom seat portion. I have a 66 Malibu with the original Roncina cloth insert.
