Hope someone out there can help me. I am looking for the rear panel emblem on a 1966 chevelle malibu. There is a plastic colored insert. I am looking for the metal piece that goes in front of that. It has a chevy emblem built into it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.ThanksEric

Sadly, the surrounding metal doesn't seem to be available in the aftermarket. The few I checked had the red/blue plastic inserts only. You might try giving a call to a couple of places that also deal in some of the harder to find parts like this such as http://www.true-connections.com/ (1-800-600-4144)and http://www.hinshawschevelle.com/ (336-586-0802). Then there's always eBay but many times people don't know what they have or use weak key words to find them.

That's funny, they always say that. I think your best bet for a decent tailpan emblem is going to be the local auto swap meets.
