O.K.......Everything was fine.....no problems......wipers quit working.....fuse popped.......replaced fuse,wiper switch in off position....turned key on and fuse popped immediately.......then I disconnected the wires going into the wiper motor......new fuse.....turn key on.....popped again.....any ideas......

Must be the power feed wire is making contact with the body metal. It's the yellow wire that connects to the bulk head and the wiper motor.

To save yourself a fortune in fuses, make up a test light with a couple of clips on the wires. Clip the clips on the fuse holder. As long as there is a large short, the light will light up.
I'll try and hunt up the 66 schematic tonight to see what else that fuse operates. It's somewhere on the home computer.

Did hunt it up before I left. Nothing else on that fuse that I saw. Try unplugging the engine harness under the hood and see if the test light goes out.
