I know the guage cluster & dash front is different, but is the dash top different also? I'm trying to locate a dash top for my 66 Malibu, but can't find one. I have found one for a 67 though. I wanted to ask some body experts to verify though.

You mean dash pad? Yes they are different, '67 is narrower. I believe the upper metal is the same,with different holes for pad mounts.

The metal dash top replacement is what I am needing. I just called Autometal Direct to ask them. They have a 67 metal dash top repair on their website, but nothing for the 66. Turns out they actually have the replacements for the 66 as well, just don't have them on the website. I ordered one for $249.95 + shipping. It will also ship today because they are in stock. Very nice people to talk to also. For those of us with a completely rotton dash top, this piece is great. I hope if fits good.

I did too. I thought I was going to have to spend $500+ for a junk dash top out of an old junk car with all the glass broken from a field... Hopefully they took their time in making something that will fit nice. I'm keeping my fingers crossed & will post some pictures when I get it.

I got the new dash top replacement Saturday. I put it in the car for a quick test fit. It seems to fit really nice. It looks great too. I'm planning on getting pictures tomorrow evening & posting pics for those who are interested in this part.

Did you happen to take pics? I have to replace mine or repaint it also. Does it just bolt in or do you need to cut it out?

dash piece for 66 fits like a glove. you did order the windshield channel as well? chances are you will destroy yours trying to reuse it if it is in in good shape anyway. it welds in across the cowl and to the standoffs by the vents.
