I put a 66 Chevelle grill on my car & wished I had went with the blacked out SS grill. Does anyone know if the SS grill is the same just painted black in the center?

yes paint it semi gloss or trim black also black out outer headlite bezels

Cool, anyone know if the SS emblem will fit where the Chevellle emblem goes?

Yes the SS396 will bolt right in the same holes as the original chevelle emblem did.
