Did 66 Chevelle bucket seats come with the side release button (bucket seat lock)? I have the original interior to my 66 (no side release), yet I see many catalogs advertising this side release for the 66 buckets. Any help please!

And 66 was the first year of the new "Strato" bucket seat style, as used in the Chevelle, Nova and full-size, as well as other GM lines (Strato-buckets not used in the Camaro, Corvette or Corvair)... So 66 Chevelle seats are one-year only offerings, but really the tough piece is the back panels without the hole for the lock button... upholstery is interchangible between years though...

Werent the Strato seats from 66-68? 66 being the only year without a release button? Thats what my understanding was.
