Was a '66 bench seat (2dr & 4dr) available originally with head rests? Optional maybe?
I don't recall ever seeing one but found a supposedly Chevelle sedan bench seat on Ebay that has head rests.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe headrests were first available on the 1967 models.:noway:

They are listed in the restoration kit under OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES WHEN INSTALLED BY CHEVROLET as

Headrests, Strato-Ease (Drive and passenger)
With bucket front seats - A81
With bench front seat - A82

I've never seen a pair on a 66 up-close-and-personal but the ones on eBay look like a factory headrest from something.

A82 Headrest Conventional type seat- 66 Chevelle - 689 were equipped from the factory.

A81 Headrest- Astro type seat- 66 chevelle- 2380 were equipped from the factory.
